Role Description
Private Duty:
You care for a single client in their home or apartment. Hours range from 4 to 12‑hour shifts. Responsibilities include companionship, safety oversight, light housekeeping, and personal care, depending on the client’s needs.
Who You Are
We seek a candidate with a strong positive attitude toward customer service to act as a Caregiver for our Private Duty department. This person will have a genuine interest in geriatric care and be able to motivate while maintaining relationships with staff and residents. The right candidate will always strive to do the best job possible, to be creative, and to work towards accomplishing facility goals.

Responsibilities
- Follows the Patient’s Care Plan/Service Plan.
- Provides personal care, including:
- Bathing
- Back rubs
- Oral hygiene
- Shampoos
- Bed linen changes
- Assisting the patient with dressing, undressing, and personal hygiene
- Assisting the patient with toileting activities
- Keeping the patient’s living area clean and orderly, as appropriate
- May prepare a light meal during the visit.
- Assists in feeding the patient, if necessary.
- Provides medication reminders.
- Laundry services may be provided during the visit.
- Reports any change in patient condition immediately to the Client Service Manager/Designee.
Requirements
- Must meet the training requirements following State and Federal laws.
- A minimum of one (1) year of hands‑on work experience is preferred. It can include experience in a home care, hospital, or assisted living setting.
- 18 years of age preferred.
- Must be self‑directed and can work with little direct supervision.
