Assists the physician and office staff with patient‑care activities, ensuring quality nursing standards and reflecting Mercy’s philosophy of compassionate care. The role requires effective communication with patients, families, and colleagues in a supportive, professional, and respectful manner.

• Full‑time, Monday to Friday
• Vascular Surgery Office

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• New hires must attend MA Clinic Academy training.
• MA partners: complete MA competencies and maintain active MA certification.
• One year of patient‑care experience in an outpatient/ambulatory setting.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification for outpatient departments.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast‑paced clinical environment.
• Knowledge of common outpatient procedures and equipment.
• Commitment to patient‑centered care and continuous professional growth.
• Awareness of diverse patient populations and cultural sensitivities.

• Outpatient clinical setting with frequent patient interaction.
• Requires standing, walking, lifting, and use of clinical equipment.
• Potential exposure to infectious materials; personal protective equipment (PPE) provided.

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Flexibility to reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed.
