Location: St. Louis

Position Summary

This position is in our Single Cell laboratory (BSL2 environment) and the candidate will assist with the technical aspects of studies and experiments, including documentation and preparation of materials. Single‑cell RNA‑seq provides transcriptional profiling of thousands of individual cells via 10x Genomic assays.

Scheduled Hours

40 hours per week.

Job Description Primary

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist with complex analysis/projects according to research/vendor protocols.
  • Assist with research studies, experiments and assays, including collection of data, preparation of solutions and setup and maintenance of equipment.
  • Perform data entry and maintain data files on research.
  • Prepare tissue cultures, reagents, probe tests, etc.
  • Comply with established safety procedures and maintain required documentation on laboratory and specimen conditions.
  • Ensure lab conditions and equipment are properly cleaned and maintained in accordance with established procedures.
  • Assist with general lab maintenance and cleaning.
Schedule/Working Conditions
  • The desired work hours are 10 am‑6 pm, and 9 am‑5 pm.
  • This position works in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological and chemical hazards.
  • The individual must be physically able to wear protective equipment.

Salary Range

$16.92 - $26.44 / Hourly
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University.
