Dialysis Technician II – Kidney Center – Village Square
Position Summary

* Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Patient sessions run from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM. As a dialysis technician you’ll work four days a week, picking up another shift at our North County Dialysis Center on every other Saturday. We’re seeking compassionate individuals eager to positively impact patients’ lives and passionate about dialysis care. Our facility features 16 dialysis stations and a multidisciplinary team consisting of Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technicians, Registered Nurses, a Clinical Social Worker and a Registered Dietitian.
Duties & Responsibilities
- चीर arrange and maintain equipment and supplies for dialysis and other procedures, including preparation of Dialysate solutions.
- Perform cannulation, initiate, monitor and discontinue dialysis treatment.
- Observe and monitor patient vital signs and significant dialysis treatment parameters; assess patient signs and symptoms and provide treatment accordingly.
- Communicate pertinent patient information or changes in patient condition to the team leader; document these results per unit's policies.
- Transport, weigh and assist patients to and from wheelchairs, stretchers and chairs.
- Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines and respond to patient concerns in a timely manner.

High school diploma or equivalent high school certification, or a combination of education and/or experience.
Certifications / Professional LicensesBasic Life Support – American Heart Association;
Basic Life Support – American Red Cross;
Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) – Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission (NNCC);
Certified Hemodialysis Practitioner/Technician (CHT) – Board of Nephrology Examiners Nursing Technology (BONENT).
No specific work experience is required for this position.

Salary Range$17.34 – $25.40 per hour. The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in the given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
