full‑time, Friday–Sunday 3 p.m.–12 a.m.* - Pay: starts at $30.91/hr; daily pay available
- Shift Differentials:
Weekend +$7.50/hr, Saturdays +$2/hr - Location:
MO-SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital, 1201 Grand - Work type: full‑time (36 hours per week)
- Completion of a Radiology program and an ARRT‑R credential
- ARRMRT or ARRT‑MR within 12 months of hire date
- Certified in BLS
- Graduated from an accredited MRI program or capable of obtaining MR certification within 12 months

Under the direction of the Radiologist, Director and Manager, perform diagnostic medical imaging by magnetic resonance (Cardiac MRI, Interventional MRI, or other invasive procedures). Submit and interpret MR studies, maintain quality, safety and regulatory standards, and collaborate with clinical staff.
Responsibilities- Performs magnetic resonance imaging examinations (40% of time).
- Demonstrates ability to assess a situation, consider alternatives and choose the appropriate course of action.
- Provides MR safety screening for 100% of patients, visitors and staff before entering MR rooms.
- Responds to changes in workload, prioritizing tasks for departmental advantage.
- Conducts job duties in accordance with departmental standards.
- Communicates technical information clearly to patients, families and staff.
- Produces high‑quality images consistently.
- Serves as a resource to co‑workers and provides training as needed.
- Assesses for vein/site selection and performs venipuncture per established standards; documents in RIS.
- Demonstrates knowledge of cross‑sectional anatomy, recognizes abnormalities, and alerts the radiologist when necessary.
- Maintains proficiency in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and uses it accurately.
- Observes departmental policies and procedures, quality‑assurance, safety, environmental and infection‑control standards.
- Runs quality‑control procedures, evaluates results and makes appropriate corrections.
- Notifies supervisor of any quality issues and follows up accordingly.
- Maintains confidentiality of patient information.
- Uses protective equipment and follows dress code.
- Assists with the setup and use of 3‑D workstations for image interpretation.
- Maintains a clean, orderly work area and manages bio‑hazardous waste appropriately.
- Handles patient interactions with professionalism, compassion and respect.
- Completes all mandatory training and annual required educational hours.
- Reports risk‑management concerns and participates in safety meetings.
- Supports department goals, participates in quality‑improvement activities, and follows evidence‑based practices.
- Adapt to day‑to‑day workflow changes, ensuring patient safety and efficient imaging.
- Exposure to blood and bodily fluids; exposure to blood‑borne pathogens.
- Occasional irregular hours; physical exertion required (standing, walking, lifting >100 lbs).
- Potential for bio‑hazardous waste handling and infection‑control duties.
