GREAT OPPORTUNITY!!! We are hiring for a Surgical Technologist opportunity who has a passion working in mostly outpatient surgical procedures. POD 4 is located at the Center for Advance Medicine on the north side of the medical campus. This unit has 15 OR suites, with 4 suites dedicated to ophthalmology. POD 4's Core Services are primarily outpatient procedures, but also some inpatient and include general, plastics, ophthalmology, endocrine, oncology.

Role: Surgical Technologist

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 10 hour shifts . On-call 8 times during a 6-week schedule. May be required to stay to finish cases and/or be called from home to staff urgent/emergent procedures.

Sign-on Bonus: Eligible listed in the job description.

• Prepares operating room for surgical patient, reviews preference cards to determine surgeon needs, obtains the necessary supplies and equipment for the procedure, ensures cleanliness of room, and assists with opening sterile supplies.
• Performs surgical scrub duties, and assists with the collection, identification, and disposition of cultures and specimens.
• Assists in turning over of room, and ensures supplies, instruments, and equipment are returned to proper location.
