Ultrasound Sonographer - Obstetrics and Gynecology

Position Summary: We seek a friendly, reliable, and flexible team ultrasound sonographer to work alongside 16 sonographers, 1 genetic counselor, and 3 front desk team members in a supportive patient‑focused culture. Enjoy a Monday‑Friday (7:45am‑4:15pm) schedule with no call, weekends, or holidays. We provide world‑class diagnostic screenings and evaluations for patients who are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or experiencing pelvic/abdominal pain or related complications.

Our team of specialists in maternal‑fetal medicine, clinical genetics and OB/GYN sonography has the advanced technologies and knowledge to provide our patients precise screening and expert evaluations. As part of our team, performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physicians, you will gain experience working with high‑risk patients, multiples, and unique cases while collaborating with physicians, residents, and fellows in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

We seek to optimize the outcome for all pregnancies, regardless of risk, using an integrated care approach, cutting‑edge technology, and coordination of care with referring physicians. Care is supported by modern prenatal diagnostic technologies designed to enhance the assessment of fetal conditions and maximize reproductive options. We welcome new graduates to apply.

Scheduled

Hours:

40 hours per week Monday‑Friday (7:45am‑4:15pm). No call, weekends, or holidays.

Primary

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform ultrasound examinations per scanning protocols, correcting patient history with examination and presenting study to physician for examination while adhering to patient schedules.
  • Assist physicians with procedures, providing sonographic guidance during the process, obtaining necessary supplies and equipment, and monitoring patient needs.
  • Teach ultrasound procedures and techniques to visitors in the department such as residents, students, fellows and new sonographers, and enhance own professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in‑service meetings and conferences.
  • Maintain documentation as required including patient files, perform data entry and complete paperwork needed for procedures/processes.
  • Develop film through automatic processing, monitoring darkroom supplies and equipment.
  • Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
  • Perform phlebotomy and injections when required.
  • Assist with maintaining supplies and equipment.
  • Assist clerical staff with front desk support when needed.

Education

Associate degree or combination of education and experience may substitute for minimum education.
