Location:
MO‑SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital, 1201 Grand
Under the direction of the Radiologist, Director, and Manager perform diagnostic medical imaging by magnetic resonance (MRI), including Cardiac MRI, Interoperative MRI, and other invasive procedures.
Job Responsibilities- Perform MRI examinations (40% time).
- Provide MR safety screening for all patients, visitors, and staff prior to entry to MR rooms.
- Assess vein/site selection and initiate venipuncture per established standards.
- Produce quality images consistently and serve as a resource to co‑workers.
- Document venipuncture site, contrast, and related information in RIS per departmental guidelines.
- Maintain proficiency in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and related systems.
- Conduct job duties in accordance with departmental standards, policies, and quality assurance programs.
- Communicate technical information appropriately for the intended audience.
- Respond to changes in workload and use time to departmental advantage.
- Demonstrate knowledge of cross‑sectional anatomy, MR anatomical landmarks, and recognize abnormalities.
- Assure a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for patients, families, and staff.
- Observe and enforce departmental policies, safety, infection control, and environmental standards.
- Completion of a Radiology program and ARRT‑R credential.
- ARRMRIT or ARRT‑MR within 12 months of hire date.
- High school diploma or Associate’s degree preferred;
Graduate of accredited MR program and MR certification eligible. - Minimum 1–3 years MR experience in a level 1 trauma facility preferred, previous academic facility experience favored.
- BLS, ARRT, and additional MR certification preferred;
Graduates of an accredited MR program will be given 12 months to obtain MR certification. - Current State of work location:
Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Wisconsin.
