We are currently seeking a Regional Admissions Coordinator for the St. Louis, MO area.
JobResponsibilities and Duties:
Oversee and support the admissions process across multiple skilled nursing facilities, ensuring a smooth, compassionate, and efficient experience for residents and families.
Drive census growth by identifying opportunities, analyzing admission trends, and developing targeted initiatives to increase occupancy.
Monitor occupancy rates and collaborate with facility teams to maintain optimal census levels.
Evaluate and approve potential admissions, confirming that both clinical and financial criteria are met.
Build and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, physicians, case managers, insurance providers, and community organizations to generate referrals.
Educate referral sources about facility capabilities, care programs, and specialized services.
Coordinate and participate in marketing initiatives, networking events, and community outreach to promote the organization and its services.
Train and support facility-based admissions coordinators to ensure compliance, consistency, and best practices.
Ensure accurate documentation, insurance verification, and financial screening are completed for all admissions.
Provide problem-solving assistance for complex or challenging admission cases.
Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and company admissions guidelines.
Collaborate with administrators, clinical teams, and corporate leadership to ensure alignment and operational efficiency across facilities.
Track and report key performance metrics such as census growth, referral source trends, and admissions conversion rates.
Provide actionable recommendations for improving processes based on data analysis and field observations.
Healthcare Administration, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in healthcare admissions, skilled nursing facility marketing, or a related field.
Multi-facility or regional admissions experience preferred.
Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, insurance verification, and long-term care regulations.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to work independently while effectively supporting multiple facilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Ability to travel frequently within the assigned region.
