About the Role:
- Up to a 2,000 Sign on Bonus
- Shift: M-F 8-hour shift; hybrid with in-person and virtual; flexible to meet caseload needs, including weekends if required.
- Clients:
Patients 18 and under is Children’s Hospital with complex needs—extended stay, psychiatric diagnoses, IDD/DD, Autism, chronic behavioral dysregulation, eating disorders. - Location:
Louis Children’s Hospital base; may cover other BJC HSOs in STL or rural areas. - Team dynamic:
Work closely with hospital treatment teams—ED, inpatient medical/behavioral units, care coordination, community partners, family members. - Ideal Skill Set: ABA trained; familiar with pediatric/adolescent population; may cover adults at other BJC HSOs; independent, develop treatment plans, use technology, document in EHR; bedside; staff/parent coaching involved.
BJC Behavioral Health is a community health center that provides and coordinates behavioral health services for more than 8,000 seriously mentally ill adults and seriously emotionally disturbed children in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. François, Iron and Washington counties. As an Administrative Agent of the Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH), BJC Behavioral Health serves as a major point of entry for people eligible for mental health services funded by DMH and is responsible for serving as gatekeeper to the public mental health system.
RolePurpose
The Board-Certified Behavior Analyst will be responsible for providing services to patients with developmental and/or behavioral difficulties. The BCBA will collect and analyze data to develop, monitor, and evaluate behavioral treatment plans. The BCBA will also provide consultation and training to families and professionals, and collaborate with other professionals to develop effective treatment plans.
Responsibilities- Partner with CPI team to support behavioral escalations, as appropriate.
- Conduct functional assessments to identify antecedents, behaviors, and consequences.
- Develop behavior intervention plans, including strategies for teaching new skills.
- Provide consultation to families, caregivers, and other professionals.
- Collect and analyze data as directed.
- Work in a safe manner; safety-sensitive position.
Education
- Master's Degree in Psychology or related field.
Experience
- 2-5 years of relevant experience.
Licenses & Certifications
- Board-Certified Behavior Analyst.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Doctorate.
