Travel RN - Med​/Surg Tele

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro Med/Surg Tele position on night shift, requiring a MO or compact RN license and BCLS and NIH certification.

Job Details

• Work in a Neuro Med Surg/Telemetry unit at an acute care hospital,

• Night shift position with three 12-hour shifts weekly from 19:00 to 07:30,

• Patient ratio is 1:6,

• Patients are on the neurology medical-surgical/telemetry service line,

• Required to work two shifts every other weekend,

• Floating within scope to other units except ICU, SDU, and ED may be required,

• Use of EPIC for charting; EPIC experience required,

• Navy scrubs are required,

Job Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required,

• Minimum of 1-2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele experience preferred,

• Current BCLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required,

• Experience with EPIC electronic medical record required,

• Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius from the facility,

• Permanent former employees must have a one-year gap before returning as travelers,

• First-time travelers are accepted,

• Valid Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Responsible for caring for neurological patients on the Med/Surg/Tele unit,

• Must be able to float within the hospital to meet staffing needs, except to ICU, SDU, and ED,

• Facial hair must allow for proper fit testing or must be shaved for compliance,

• Pre-start modules must be completed as part of orientation,

• No locals accepted within a 75-mile radius,

• No more than 7 days of requested time off allowed per 13-week contract; no time off during first week of orientation,

• Travelers may stay up to 18 months with a required 3-month break after,
