Description
The Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), Student Health Services (SHS) at SIU Carbondale is seeking applications for the Counseling Psychologist positions. This is a 12-month, full-time appointment.
Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity.
Examples of Duties- Provide professional and ethical counseling/therapy, assessment, and evaluation to students.
- Coordinate programmatic areas such as masters and doctoral level practicum, consultation, outreach, community intervention, QAUR, groups, EDOP, DBT, or other areas assigned by the Director.
- Provide consultation, outreach, and program development and evaluation to students, faculty, staff, and administrators.
- Provide individual and group clinical supervision and training to pre-doctoral interns or practicum students within CAPS.
- Serve on university committees, task forces, boards, etc. as directed by the CAPS Director.
- Earned a doctorate in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an APA or CPA accredited program by date of hire (ABD acceptable).
- Successfully completed an APA or CPA accredited pre-doctoral internship in professional psychology by date of hire.
- Eligibility for registration as a licensed psychologist in the State of Illinois within 18 months of start date of employment.
