CareSTL Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Consultant to provide behavioral health consultation to children, adolescents, adults, and families to improve psychosocial functioning.

• Provides comprehensive assessment and diagnosis of behavioral health clients.
• Provides effective treatment planning and assists clients in successfully achieving goals.
• Provides assessment, consultation, and brief intervention for psychological/psychiatric problems and/or disorders. Assists the primary care team in developing care management processes such as use of guidelines, disease management techniques, case management, and patient education to improve self-management of chronic disease.
• Evaluates crisis situations and applies appropriate interventions. Assists in detection of “at risk” patients and development of plans to prevent further psychological or physical deterioration.
• Works as a member of the Care Team to improve health outcomes.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field; or
• Master’s Degree and licensed in counseling, social work, or a related field.

• A minimum of two (2) years of counseling experience.
• Experience in delivering behavioral health services.
• Knowledge of DSM‑V.
• Experience in an integrated health care environment (preferred).
• Experience in Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, and NCQA Standards (preferred).

• Clinic hours are Monday – Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• 11 paid holidays per year.
