Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm (30-minute lunch)
Attire: Black scrubs

About the Role

We are seeking a certified Medical Assistant (MA) to support a high-volume specialty clinic that provides Heart & Vascular care and cross-collaborates with a Pulmonary practice. This is a patient-facing role located near the main entrance of the clinic, requiring strong customer service and the ability to assist with patient way finding.

MAs are assigned to providers (typically two per day) and support a clinic that sees approximately 20-40 patients daily.

Key Responsibilities

• Room patients and support overall patient flow
• Perform EKGs and cardiac monitoring (cardiology background preferred)
• Assist providers with exams and procedures
• Obtain patient consents and offer patient guidance
• Complete documentation within Epic EMR
• Collaborate with both Heart & Vascular and Pulmonary teams
• Maintain a welcoming clinic environment and assist patients seeking directions

Required Credentials

Required on Day One:

• Medical Assistant Certification from an in-person proctored exam through one of the following:
  • NHA
  • AAMA
  • AMT
    Other in-person proctored credentials may be considered with approval.
    Online-proctored exams are not accepted.
• BLS Certification (must be completed before the start date; cost is typically around $80 and candidates must be comfortable securing this on their own)

Additional Requirements:

• Willingness to provide a professional photo for credentialing/submission
• Ability to handle high patient traffic and frequent walk-up questions

Additional Details

• Parking: Talent is responsible for parking costs (typically $8-$15 per day) or may use public transit
• Cross-coverage with the partnering Pulmonary clinic is part of the role

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in cardiology
• Strong customer service skills
• Experience using Epic EMR
