Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

Our Kforce client in the Saint Louis, MO area is seeking a motivated Senior Accountant to join a collaborative finance team and play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and strong accounting controls. This client offers salary and benefits:

Duties:

• Own key general ledger activities, including account analysis and reconciliations
• Support month‑end and period‑end close, preparing meaningful financial analysis
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and control requirements
• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities; communicate insights to finance leadership
• Contribute to process improvements, automation, and reporting enhancements
• Partner cross‑functionally and support audits as needed

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 3‑5 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong Excel skills
• ERP system experience preferred
• Solid understanding of general ledger and close processes
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
• Team‑oriented with strong analytical and communication skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
