Will act as a coordinator for a portfolio of New Market Tax Credit investments, monitoring customer requests as they are received and assigning tasks, as applicable. Assisting members of the asset management team in the management and review of a portfolio of investments to ensure benefit delivery to investors and while maintaining superior customer service for external clients. Maintains and expands relationships with partners, borrowers, and other external parties associated within portfolio.
Monitors portfolio performance and assigns risk ratings in accordance with policy. Reviews and interprets operating agreements, loan agreements and other legal documents relating to equity investments and loans in order to protect the divisions rights and financial interests. Prepares internal written and verbal reporting on portfolio performance. Ensures that assigned investment projects adheres to U.S. Bancorp policies and procedures and conforms to regulatory requirements.
Responsible for keeping current on various tax credit policies, banking laws and regulations, economic and industry trends, and banking products and services related to asset management of investments and loans. Participates in the establishment of policies and procedures necessary for accomplishing the team's tasks.
- Typically Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Typically two or more years of related experience
- Some knowledge of tax credit investment management with experience interpreting legal documentation and requirements.
- Well-developed analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Highly motivated, able to work independently, and possesses acute attention to detail
- Some knowledge of LIHTC, RTC and/or NMTC preferred
- Strong customer services skills
- Proficient Microsoft Excel skills
The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.
