Job Summary
As a Senior Reporting & Data Analyst, you will be responsible for designing, governing, and delivering scalable financial and operational reporting solutions that support firm-wide decision-making. This role focuses on financial data modeling, reporting infrastructure, and advanced analytics, ensuring accurate, consistent, and executive-ready insights across FP&A, Accounting, and senior leadership.
This position plays a critical role in supporting high-priority, ad-hoc analytical requests for executive leadership, including the CFO and other firm leaders, as they evaluate performance, address areas of concern, and advance key strategic initiatives. You will collaborate closely with FP&A leadership, Accounting, IT, and external consultants to translate complex ERP and operational data into trusted insights that inform action.
Job Description- Design, develop, and continuously optimize the firm’s financial reporting and analytics infrastructure, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, scalability, and governance.
- Transform ERP financial data into unified, well-documented data models and star schemas within the enterprise data warehouse.
- Develop, automate, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions, including AR aging, WIP, GL balances, pipeline, utilization, and management reporting.
- Respond to high-priority, ad-hoc data and analysis requests from senior leadership to support firm initiatives, performance improvement efforts, and emerging business questions.
- Partner with FP&A and Accounting leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and performance monitoring through standardized, repeatable reporting.
- Define and maintain enterprise reporting hierarchies and metadata standards, including chart of accounts rollups, department and practice structures, and management reporting classifications.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to enhance and optimize semantic models, focusing on performance, governance, and scalability.
- Leverage advanced Power BI capabilities, data warehouse tools, and emerging AI-enabled analytics (e.g., Copilot or similar technologies) to improve insight generation, automation, and speed to answer.
- Support executive leadership with dashboards, scorecards, and targeted analyses that translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Identify opportunities to automate reporting processes, reduce manual analysis, and improve data transparency across the organization.
- Ensure reporting solutions are audit-ready, well-documented, and aligned with firm-wide reporting standards and controls.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 3–5+ years of experience in financial reporting, data analytics, FP&A, or a related analytical role.
- Experience supporting financial processes, reporting, and ad-hoc analysis for senior leadership.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI, including experience building dashboards and analytical models.
- Experience working with data warehouse or enterprise reporting tools.
