Salary: USD 80,000 - USD 110,000 per year

Location: Chesterfield, MO – Suburb of St. Louis

Job Type: Hybrid, 2 days WFH

Client/Job Summary:

Our client is a leading Fortune 500 firm that focuses on reinsurance. They are expanding their Finance & Accounting team and are seeking a Tax Analyst to help maintain tax accounting for a list of companies in accordance with GAAP and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • GAAP and local reporting.
  • Prepare US GAAP accrual for assigned companies for the planning and forecasting process.
  • Prepare federal and state income tax returns.
  • Assist with planning and related reports to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly tax accruals with rules and regulations under ASC 740.
  • Respond to external requests from tax authorities.
  • Assist with process improvements, department compliance, research and analysis for recommendations to tax policies and procedures, and ad hoc projects.

    • Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related work experience.
  • 4-7 years accounting experience with 3+ years in tax accounting.
  • Knowledge of application of ASC 740-10 and GAAP.
  • Knowledge of Excel functions (e.g. Query/Pivot table skills).
  • Communication, problem-solving, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
