Accounting Manager

Newly created Accounting Manager due to growth. It's a hands-on role responsible for maintaining the day to day accounting, driving a timely monthly close, and supporting GAAP financial reporting, investor activity, and audit/tax processes in partnership with internal stakeholders and external providers. This position is based in St. Louis, Missouri

As the primary point of contact for day-to-day accounting and finance matters, this role will have a wide range of responsibilities, including:

• Day-to-day accounting & close
• Own the general ledger and supporting schedules; prepare/review journal entries, accruals, and account analysis
• Lead the monthly/quarterly/year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting packages
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including A/P, vendor management, invoice processing, and expense reporting
• Financial reporting (GAAP and Management)
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP financials for the company and related entities
• Audit, tax, and compliance support
• Assist with tracking deadlines and supporting entity compliance filings, working with the SVP and external advisors
• Process improvement & controls
• Help document, maintain, and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls; identify opportunities to streamline and strengthen close/reporting

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• 5-7+ years of progressive accounting experience (public + industry or comparable)
• Experience working in a lean environment and/or managing outsourced providers while owning close and reconciliations
• Excellent analytical and problem solving ability
• Advanced Excel skills (consolidation model with investor allocations, large data sets)
• CPA or other related certification preferred
