Overview
A Kforce client in the Saint Louis, MO area is seeking a Controller to join their leadership team. This critical role oversees all accounting and financial reporting functions, ensures compliance with applicable regulations, and provides strategic financial insights and business forecasts to support leadership decision‑making. The Controller will oversee the general ledger, accounts payable, FP&A, tax, and transactional accounting, as well as responsibility for HR oversight.
Responsibilities- Lead month-end, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Review transactions and financial statements for accuracy, compliance, and budget alignment
- Serve as internal lead for the annual financial audit
- Utilize Net Suite to support corporate and subsidiary-level accountability
- Oversee internal AR and AP processes
- Partner with leadership on key financial decisions and analysis
- Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and statements in accordance with US GAAP
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA is a plus; CPA preferred
- 10-15 years of experience in finance and accounting and leading a team
- Must have experience with a private equity backed company
- Competence with the latest financial software and technology
- Advanced skills in all aspects of the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Exemplary leadership skills and the ability to work positively with a team
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
