Head of Commercial Finance

Responsibilities

A Kforce client is seeking a Head of Commercial Finance to join their leadership team.

Summary:

This is a highly strategic role for a finance leader who is passionate about building robust financial models, generating actionable insights, and developing commercial frameworks that guide growth and inform critical business decisions. The role will focus heavily on pricing strategy, deal and contract modeling, and supporting healthcare care-delivery organizations with similar operating models. This individual will round out the finance leadership team by serving as a dedicated commercial finance expert, partnering closely with Business Development to deliver data-driven recommendations that shape pricing, contracts, and the overall business model.

• Lead commercial finance strategy across pricing, unit economics, profitability, and market expansion
• Own forecasting, budgeting, and long‑term planning processes in a fast‑growing healthcare environment
• Drive scenario modeling and investor‑facing analyses to support strategic decisions and fundraising
• Partner with executive leadership and cross‑functional teams to evaluate performance and identify key growth and margin drivers
• Support Business Development by assessing partnerships, payer contracts, and enterprise opportunities for financial viability and strategic fit
• Develop financial models to inform pricing, contract structuring, and negotiation strategies
• Deliver clear, actionable financial insights to senior leadership, the Board, and external stakeholders

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline required; MBA or other advanced degree highly preferred
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in strategic or commercial finance, ideally within high‑growth or early‑stage companies (Series A‑C strongly preferred)
• Must have healthcare experience working in an early‑stage startup environment
• Advanced financial modeling and analytical capabilities, including building models from the ground up and stress‑testing complex assumptions
• Proven experience preparing investor‑facing materials and supporting fundraising efforts, board presentations, and executive decision‑making
• Background in healthcare, healthcare technology, or care delivery organizations strongly preferred
• Experience evaluating pricing strategies, contract economics, and partnership opportunities within complex or evolving business environments

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
