Executive Researcher – Accounting & Finance Overview
A global financial-services firm with a growing U.S. fund administration platform is seeking a Fund Accountant to support a portfolio of private equity and real estate clients
. The role offers hands‑on exposure to fund accounting, investor onboarding, and financial reporting, while working closely with senior accountants and client relationship managers. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to deepen their expertise in alternative investments and gain visibility into all aspects of fund operations.
- Administer a portfolio of private equity and real estate investment funds, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables.
- Manage investor servicing and onboarding processes, including AML/KYC compliance.
- Process general ledger activity across investor, fund, and investment levels.
- Handle daily cash transactions, wire transfers, and reconciliations.
- Prepare and review quarterly accounting packages and investor reporting.
- Assist with management and performance fee calculations in accordance with fund agreements.
- Prepare and review financial statements under U.S. GAAP
, including partner allocations and capital statements. - Draft investor capital call and distribution notices.
- Support annual audit processes and coordinate with external auditors.
- Contribute to technology and process improvement initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency.
- Assist in training and supporting junior team members.
- Maintain awareness of recoverability, billing, and debtors to support team profitability.
- Adhere to internal controls, risk management, and compliance procedures in line with AML and regulatory standards.
- 2+ years of private equity or fund administration experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Strong communication and client‑service mindset.
- Desire to work in a team‑oriented, fast‑paced environment with opportunities for professional growth.
