Join EY for the GPS – Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) – State and Local – Senior Manager role.

• Actively pursue business development activities, including implementing strategies and tactical actions within and outside EY.
• Identify new opportunities and develop proposal responses.
• Train staff and execute engagement deliverables simultaneously.
• Collaborate with colleagues across multiple service lines to build relationships and uncover opportunities for clients.
• Travel as required to meet with key clients.

• Develop and maintain strong, productive working relationships with advisory client personnel.
• Direct field work, inform supervisors of advisory engagement status and manage assurance staff performance.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of complex governmental accounting (e.g., GASB) and budgeting, auditing concepts.
• Execute advisory or consulting type work such as reporting or transformations.
• Develop people through effective delegation of audit tasks and guidance to assurance staff.
• Provide performance feedback, training and performance reviews.
• Foster an efficient, innovative, and team‑oriented work environment.
• Use technology to share knowledge and enhance service delivery.

• U.S. CPA license in your work state.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business discipline, plus 10 years of post‑college work experience in financial audit and advisory support to SLED clients.
• In‑depth understanding of US Governmental GAAP, GASB standards, Financial and Single Audit (Subpart F of OMB Uniform Guidance) and OMB guidance.
• Proficiency in preparing and auditing ACFR, annual financial statements and single audit reports for SLED entities.
• Experience with modified‑accrual reporting, grants management, and budgetary reporting.
• Hands‑on experience with business development in the SLED space, including proposal submission and deal governance.
• Excellent project management, communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills.
• Demonstrated record of managing, mentoring, and improving high‑performing teams.
• Integrity and professionalism.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance or higher.
• Willingness to travel up to 30–80 % depending on practice.

• CGFM and/or CDFM certifications.
• Experience with large regional or national not‑for‑profit (NFP) clients.
