Focus Partners Wealth is seeking an Associate Wealth Advisor to join our planning‑centric team. The Associate Wealth Advisor collaborates with a Wealth Advisor to design, build, protect the financial dreams of clients, participate in the financial planning process addressing retirement, risk management, estate, and tax considerations, and manage the database of client information. The role articulates our investment philosophy and organizes best practices.
Focus provides a hybrid schedule: three days in the office per week with the option to work remotely for two days or as assigned by the team leader.
Primary Responsibilities- Develop mastery of Focus Partners Wealth’s evidence‑based investment philosophy.
- Act as a resource for other Associate Wealth Advisors.
- Create, edit, and present financial plans through Money Guide Elite, Orion, and Holistiplan.
- Create a personalized Investment Policy Statement and holistic investment strategy for each client.
- Independently lead client communications and interactions.
- Develop an understanding of trading fundamentals and partner with the Portfolio Management team to approve and execute portfolios, trade recommendations, tax‑loss harvesting, etc.
- Determine asset allocation based on clients’ needs, willingness, and ability to take risk.
- Record client communication and information diligently within the client relationship management platform.
- Serve as the day‑to‑day contact for client needs and collaborate with team members to ensure the highest level of service.
- Assist with client billing reviews and collaborate with the billing department to ensure timely fee collection.
- Engage in business planning efforts and actively support the firm’s strategic priorities.
- Meet with clients in person; some travel may be required.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 2+ years of financial planning experience.
- Series 65 licensure.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills; team‑orientated approach.
- Knowledge of financial industry, financial products, and financial planning concepts.
- Clean U4 compliance.
The annualized base pay range for this role is $85,000 – $95,000 per year, with additional compensation potentially including an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package. Base pay may vary based on experience, expertise, geographic location, and the applicant’s skill set.
