Job Title:

Mechanical Design Engineer (Custom Equipment)

Location:

St. Louis, MO (On-site)

Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 per year

6+month contract to perm

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing team. This is a high-impact role where you will see your designs move from a digital model to a physical product on our shop floor. You will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, collaborating with veteran engineers and our in-house production team.

• Custom Design:
  Use Autodesk Inventor to develop custom power equipment and material handling solutions.
• Documentation:
  Create initial approval drawings for customer sign-off and translate them into detailed production drawings for welding and assembly.
• Hands-on Engineering:
  Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles; assist with the assembly process and troubleshoot designs during build-out.
• Component Specification:
  Specify and source hydraulic components and other mechanical parts for integration.
• Collaboration:
  
  Work closely with a senior engineering mentor and the manufacturing team to ensure high-quality, functional builds.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related) is required.
• Experience:
  
  1+ years of professional experience in a design-to-build manufacturing environment.
• Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor is a significant advantage. Exposure to hydraulics or powered mechanical systems is highly preferred.
• Soft Skills:
  
  A positive, solution-oriented attitude and a desire for a long-term career home.
• Precision:
  Ability to produce accurate drawings (GD&T is a plus but not required).
