We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of custom automation and robotics equipment
. This role requires a deep understanding of automated systems, motion control, robotics integration, and engineered‑to‑order (ETO) machine builds. You will coordinate cross‑functional engineering teams and guide complex automation projects from concept through commissioning at customer facilities.
The ideal candidate brings a blend of technical expertise, structured project management methodologies, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, innovation‑driven environment typical of automation and advanced manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities- Project Planning & Execution - manage full lifecycle projects, develop and maintain project schedules, ensure all deliverables meet customer requirements
- Technical Leadership - work directly with engineers, participate in design reviews, interpret and review technical drawings
- Customer & Vendor Coordination - act as primary customer contact, coordinate with robot OEM's
- Quality, Cost & Schedule Control - track project KPI's, ensure design and build align with automation best practices, drive continuous improvement
- Installation, Startup & Support - plan and support equipment installation, commissioning, and on‑site testing, validate control logic, document lessons learned and lead project closeout
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation) or equivalent technical field.
- 5+ years of project management experience in automation, robotics, machine building, or industrial equipment.
- Strong understanding of robotic integration, motion systems, PLC/HMI programming, industrial sensors, and safety systems.
- Experience managing engineered‑to‑order (ETO) automation or robotics projects.
- Proficiency with project management platforms such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Travel to customer and supplier sites for design reviews, buy‑offs, installation, and commissioning (typically 10%)
