For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $101,600 - $140,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The Electrical Engineer for the Engineering-to-Order (ETO) team is responsible for designing, analyzing, and validating custom electrical systems and components for Motivair’s liquid-cooling and integrated power products. This role requires strong technical judgment, deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, and the ability to translate customer requirements into manufacturable designs.

• Design and develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams, and control system architectures, including e-panel design.
• Perform load calculations, protection coordination, component sizing, and electrical performance modeling.
• Generate 2D/3D electrical layouts, routing, harness designs, and documentation packages for production.
• Support PLC, sensor, and control logic integration with cross-functional teams.
• Interpret customer specifications, standards, and compliance requirements to develop custom ETO solutions.
• Collaborate with mechanical, controls, manufacturing, supply chain, and field teams to ensure seamless system integration.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues during build, testing, and commissioning phases.
• Maintain accurate BOMs, revision control, and adherence to internal engineering standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, standardization, and development of reusable electrical design modules.

This role reports to the Engineering Manager for the ETO Group. It is a hybrid position requiring onsite presence at either the Lancaster, NY, or O’Fallon, MO facility at least 2 days per week, with up to 35% travel depending on location.

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience in industrial equipment, power systems, controls, or thermal-management solutions.
• Proficiency in electrical CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, Solid Works Electrical).
• Strong understanding of power distribution, grounding, control circuits, sensors, and communication protocols.
• Experience with UL/CE compliance, NEC, IEC, and other electrical standards.
• Ability to read and interpret specifications, schematics, wiring diagrams, and electrical standards.
