CAD Technician

Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a CAD Technician to join their team! This position is located in St. Louis, Missouri.

Duties:

• Work closely with Electrical Engineers and Designers to create detailed electrical drawings, including:
  Power and control wiring diagrams, instrumentation loops, electrical schematics, cable tray layouts, electrical/instrumentation details, cable schedules, etc.
• Produce accurate 2D/3D AutoCAD drawings based on field findings and engineering direction
• Perform sizing and selection of circuit breakers and other protective devices as required for design packages
• Read, interpret, and update one line diagrams, panel schedules, and equipment lists
• Work with project teams, including designers and engineers, throughout the design and review process
• Support design reviews by providing drawing updates, design clarifications, and field verification as needed

Desired Skills/Experience:

• 4+ years of CAD design/drafting experience, preferably with a focus on electrical power and control systems
• AutoCAD experience required, strong ability to create and modify complex electrical drawings
• Deep knowledge of electrical design principles, including breaker sizing, load calculations, and power distribution layouts
• Experience conducting field measurements and developing designs based on real world data

The approximate pay range for this position starting at $85,000 - $110,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
