What You85ll Be Doing
The Systems Engineer is responsible for handling the configuration/administration of systems across Stifel. Systems include, but are not limited to, a single server to a full server farm. Configures and integrates electronic and mechanical hardware with software products to meet the functional criteria of client specifications.
What We're Looking For- Ensuring that an organization is operating at maximum efficiency, from manufacturing to distribution
- Speaking to and collaborating with a variety of people, such as vendors, management, IT staff and other Stifel associates during the creation and maintenance of a system
- Support and maintain IT configuration management databases, and integrate federated data to a holistic configuration management system
- Develop service dependency maps through physical and logical configuration item relationships
- Determine how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes
- Recommend strategies, roadmaps, and standards for all platform infrastructures, ensuring security, and compliance with industry best practices
- Manage assigned projects and tasks and ensure timely completion
- Provide support for complex issues, partnering with other internal teams or vendors when appropriate
- Develop solutions to problems, as well as manage multiple issues at the same time
- Ability to use logic and reasoning when troubleshooting difficult issues
- Ability to think outside the box; imagine innovative effective solutions and designs
- Understanding and appropriately responding to feedback
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other team members
- Minimum
Required:
Bachelor0s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent - Minimum
