Position Overview

As an Experitec Field Service Technician in our Engineering Services organization, you will focus on establishing strong relationships with customers, identifying areas for improvement, and providing calibration, diagnosis, commissioning, and maintenance of instrumentation systems. The role involves using company-provided vehicle and tools.

Opportunities & Training

Technicians may experience opportunities across manufacturing troubleshooting, plant operations, process engineering, and support in various industries such as chemical, power, refining, oil & gas, food & beverage, pulp & paper, and water. Experitec offers comprehensive training including certifications in Emerson, Rosemount, Micromotion, safety, customer service, and business skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform on-site instrumentation services including diagnostics, troubleshooting, calibration, startup, and commissioning.
  • Track data, prepare reports, and recommend repairs or upgrades.
  • Provide customer training and communicate needs effectively.
  • Collaborate with sales to enhance customer satisfaction and service growth.
  • Maintain safety standards and complete all documentation timely.
  • Qualifications
    • Hands-on approach, strong work ethic, troubleshooting skills, and leadership qualities.
    • Associate degree or high school diploma with relevant experience.
    • Experience with instrumentation, electrical systems, PLC, DCS, and reading schematics.
    • Effective communication skills and ability to travel as needed.
    Preferred Skills
    • Bachelor’s or additional years of relevant experience.
    • Experience with process control systems and hardware/software configuration.
