Senior R&D Mechanical Engineer – Precision Equipment Development (St. Louis, MO)

We’re looking for a Senior R&D Engineer to take the lead in developing the next generation of our critical measurement systems used in high‑precision manufacturing.

• Leading the design and development of the next‑generation capillary tube measurement system.
• Turning early concepts and requirements into a functional, manufacturable piece of equipment.
• Working with software, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure the system meets performance and reliability goals.
• Integrating mechanical and electromechanical components, including commercial actuators, sensors, and encoders.
• Testing prototypes, troubleshooting issues, and refining designs.
• Creating clear documentation, including equipment manuals and troubleshooting guides, for long‑term support.

• Strong background in mechanical design for manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with precision test systems or equipment involving fluid paths or fluid‑based measurement.
• Familiarity with electro‑mechanical systems, especially positioning devices and encoders.
• Comfort taking ownership of a project and driving it through design, validation, and handoff.

• Experience writing equipment manuals or documenting manufacturing processes.
• Background in R&D, prototyping, or instrumentation design.
• Hands‑on build, test, or troubleshooting experience with custom equipment.

This is a Contract position based out of Saint Louis, MO.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
