In this role, your main responsibilities will include civil transportation/roadway design (covering grading, stormwater management, utilities, pavements, roads, and bridges) and other civil engineering projects. You will maintain your professional registration and sign/seal documents prepared under your supervision.
Your responsibilities include:
- Managing multiple project assignments and prioritizing competing demands
- Leading project strategy meetings, developing design concepts, recommending systems, and preparing proposal documents
- Identifying the basis of design for various civil engineering aspects such as roadway, signing, striping, traffic control, hydrology, hydraulics, utilities, and erosion control
- Supervising technical efforts of project engineers, designers, technicians, and interns
- Signing and sealing design documents as a Professional of Record when assigned
- Advising owners and contractors on construction documents and responding to RFIs
Qualifications needed:
- Bachelor's and/or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 10+ years of experience in transportation design
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
- Proficiency in Microstation, Open Roads, and/or In Roads
- Ability to foster an environment for staff growth and career development

Physical and Environmental Requirements: The role requires mobility to visit various locations, and the ability to stand, walk, kneel, and lift light to medium weights (10-50 lbs). Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity are essential for operating equipment and reading documentation. The role involves sitting, reaching, talking, and hearing regularly.
