Electrical Designer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Designer to join our team in designing lighting and power systems for both vertical and horizontal projects. The role involves performing electrical calculations, preparing lighting and energy compliance calculations, drafting project specifications, and ensuring all projects adhere to code requirements. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining project schedules, delivering on time to clients, actively participating in project meetings, and providing quality assurance and quality control internally.

This position also requires offering guidance on company processes and standards while delivering exceptional service.

• Design lighting and power systems for various projects.
• Perform electrical calculations using engineering formulas and software.
• Prepare point by point lighting calculations and energy code compliance calculations.
• Draft project specifications and research code requirements.
• Maintain project schedules and ensure timely delivery to clients.
• Actively participate in project meetings.
• Provide internal QA/QC.
• Offer input and guidance on company processes and standards.
• Deliver quality service to clients.

• 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering or electrical design.
• Proven experience in designing lighting, controls, power distribution, and branch systems.
• In-depth knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Proficiency invit, AutoCAD, and AGI‑32.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).

• Excellent interpersonal skills with peers, superiors, subordinates, and customers.

• PE License or EI/EIT Certification is a plus but not required.

The work environment is fast‑paced, requiring the ability to handle short deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively. The role involves using various software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and AGI‑32, with a focus on delivering high‑quality service. A collaborative, team‑oriented approach is encouraged, with opportunities to mentor junior staff and lead by example.

Contract position based out of St. Louis, MO.

• Pay range: $40.00 - $46.00/hr.
