Spencer Ogden is partnering with a large, well-established organization to support a Project Engineer opportunity based onsite in the St. Louis, MO area
. This role is ideal for an engineer with a strong foundation in Transmission & Distribution (T&D) who is looking to lead impactful utility‑scale projects from concept through construction and closeout.

• Location: Chesterfield, MO (onsite only)
• Contract Duration: Feb 2026 – Feb 2027 (12‑month W2 contract) – Convert to perm
• Schedule: 5/8s (eligible for 9/80)
• Pay Rate: $55–65/hr (W2)

In this role, you will manage multiple concurrent overhead transmission and substation projects ranging from 34.5kV to 500kV
. You will serve as the primary point of contact for project execution, coordinating closely with engineering, construction, project controls, environmental, permitting, and procurement teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

• Lead projects from conceptual planning through engineering, procurement, construction, and closeout
• Manage multiple transmission and substation projects simultaneously
• Coordinate with technical teams to understand project interdependencies and develop construction sequencing
• Maintain detailed project schedules and financials with support from project teams
• Serve as the main point of contact with project stakeholders and owners
• Oversee project elements including siting, permitting, estimating, engineering, right‑of‑way, procurement, material management, and construction management
• Leverage engineering expertise to drive project execution and deliverables

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an ABET‑accredited university (required)
• Minimum 3 years of relevant engineering experience supporting design‑only and/or EPC projects (internship experience does not qualify)
• T&D experience strongly preferred (transferable experience considered)
• 5+ years of relevant T&D experience preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to lead teams and manage multiple project deliverables
