Position OverviewBoeing Defense Space & Security invites you to join as a Radar Target Generator Design Engineer for Flight Simulation Labs, located in Berkeley, MO . The Flight Simulation Labs organization supports marketing, design, development, integration, test and training for Boeing military aircraft such as T‑7, F‑15, F‑18, and MQ‑25. As a Radar Test Station Design Engineer you will develop, upgrade, and maintain integration test sites (SILs) for avionics systems.
PositionResponsibilities
- Analyze customer and system requirements to develop architectural approaches and detailed specifications for new systems and upgrades located in STL and remote sites.
- Develop high‑level and detailed designs that meet requirements and specifications.
- Design and maintain Radar test station hardware.
- Validate designs through analysis, peer review, and standalone testing.
- Track technical performance measures to gauge progress and ensure requirement compliance.
- Support supplier management with make/buy recommendations and technical services such as fabrication.
- Provide engineering support to stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of SIL products.
- Investigate emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs.
- Interact with internal and external customers.
- Maintain configuration management of test station hardware and software.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non‑US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
- 5+ years of engineering experience.
- 3+ years of experience in modern radar systems.
- Comprehensive understanding of circuit design, working with schematics, databases, PCs.
- Knowledgeable in RF and Microwave design.
- Familiar with Digital Radio Frequency Memory (DRFM).
- Aware of Real Time system constraints.
- Understanding of field‑programmable gate array (FPGA).
- Experience with hardware/software integration and testing.
- Experience in working with and developing embedded hardware/software architectures.
- Experience with internal Radar operation.
- Experience with Radar testing.
- Experience with VPX racks and embedded PCs.
- Experience in Agile Methodologies and tools.
- Location:
Berkeley, MO. - Shift: 1st Shift.
- 100% onsite required.
- Security clearance: U.S. Secret clearance required (Pre‑Start and Post‑Start).
- U.S. citizenship required; no visa sponsorship.
- Relocation offered based on eligibility.
- Export control compliance required.
