Key Responsibilities- Preliminary assessments of security requirements.
- Concept creation and design development.
- Lead design activities with support from peers, subject matter experts, and BIM designers.
- Resolve internal and external problems.
- Produce drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate customer and vendor access.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or related discipline; master’s degree preferred.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license required.
- Preferred professional security certifications (CISSP, CPP, PSP, etc.).
- 12+ years of professional experience in planning, designing, and commissioning physical security systems and/or communication networks; project management experience a plus.
- In‑depth knowledge of video surveillance, access control, biometric systems, and intrusion detection.
- Experience conducting vulnerability and risk assessments.
- Ability to evaluate emerging security technologies and analyze trade‑offs.
- Strong understanding of network technologies and cybersecurity principles.
- Exceptional problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Collaborative teamwork and constructive feedback.
- Bluebeam, Revit, ACC, BIM
360, AutoCAD, and/or Micro Station. - CSI design and construction specifications.
- Estimating and scheduling of mid‑to‑large‑scale project design efforts.
- Construction cost estimating for security implementation.
- Leading projects and managing resources.
- Mentoring junior staff.
- Design management experience.
- Design experience in data centers.
