Responsibilities- Collaborate with industry leaders to deliver design solutions and manage design tasks.
- Coordinate with client and multidisciplinary teams (drainage, structures, traffic, public outreach, and environmental).
- Develop horizontal and vertical alignment, intersection layout, drainage, traffic signals, and cross sections.
- Participate in quality control/quality assurance activities and ensure project deadlines are met.
- Prepare detailed design documents for construction plans and assist with permitting and criteria research.
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and other agencies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
- Previous experience on multi-discipline infrastructure projects with emphasis on roadway design
- Experience with highway design including horizontal and vertical alignment, intersection layout, drainage, and cross sections
- DOT/County/Municipal project experience
- Ability to develop project work plans, fee estimates, and schedules
- Proficiency with Micro Station and Microsoft Office
- Experience preparing calculations, reports, and spreadsheets
- Ability to work with design teams to develop detailed design documents
- Experience conducting criteria research, writing specifications, and assisting with permitting
- Commitment to Jacobs quality control practices throughout design and plans production
- Excellent communication, presentation, and technical writing skills
- Experience evaluating, selecting, and modifying standard techniques and criteria within the discipline
- Proficiency with Geopak, InRoads and/or Open Roads Designer (ORD)

The base salary range for this position is $82,900.00 to $. Within the range, pay is determined by location and factors including job-related skills, experience, and education.
