Base pay range

$90,000.00/yr - $/yr

We are partnered with a reputable Engineering firm in St. Louis, MO that is seeking a Civil Designer with strong site development experience to join their growing team. This position involves the design of commercial and residential developments
, including grading, utilities, and stormwater systems. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, technically skilled, and experienced working on projects from concept through construction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare site development plans for commercial and residential projects
  • Design commercial and residential developments
  • Develop grading plans that meet regulatory and constructability requirements
  • Design utility systems, including water, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage
  • Perform stormwater management design, including:
    • Hydrology and hydraulic calculations
    • Detention/retention systems
    • Storm sewer networks
  • Prepare Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP)
  • Coordinate designs with engineers, project managers, and other disciplines
  • Assist with permit submittals and respond to agency comments
  • Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations
Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in site development design
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Experience with:
    • Commercial and residential site development
    • Grading and earthwork design
    • Utility and stormwater systems
    • Hydrology and hydraulics calculations
  • Knowledge of local permitting and design standards is a plus
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with municipalities and regulatory agencies
  • Familiarity with stormwater modeling software (e.g., Hydraflow, Hydro

    CAD, or similar)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
