Role Overview:

We are seeking Electrical Technicians to bring our electrified freight rail cars to life. This role is critical to our collaborative Build & Integration team, with a strong hands‑on technical focus. You will participate in multi‑disciplinary efforts involving systems build, integration, and troubleshooting, as a key contributor to product deployment and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical Build: Activities may include soldering, crimping, and component wiring and cable assembly per wiring diagrams, schematics, verbal instructions
  • Systems Integration: Assembly of components into an integrated system, including pneumatics, hydraulics, drive trains, high and low voltage power, cooling, sensors, and controls
  • Problem‑Solving: Operating, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical equipment as needed to ensure successful system operations
  • Lifecycle Support: Address and resolve issues related to fielded systems, providing comprehensive support throughout the product lifecycle

Team Dynamics:

  • Work within dynamic teams of 3‑10 members on diverse projects
  • Foster excellent interpersonal and communication skills to thrive in a collaborative environment
  • Adapt to evolving build designs and operations, introduced through prioritized capability enhancements
  • Engage in occasional domestic travel for integration, demonstrations, and customer interactions

About You:

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Technical Associates Degree in applicable field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience with basic electrical systems (e.g., starters, fuses, contacts, relays)
  • Experience with electrical systems (installation, commissioning, troubleshooting)
  • Able to perform occasional heavy lifting, pulling, pushing, stooping, climbing, reaching, bending and working in awkward positions
  • Willingness to expand into technical areas beyond your area of expertise
  • Open‑minded and comfortable working in a team environment, as an individual contributor, and as a conscientious teammate
  • Fluent in both written and verbal English

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in directly applicable industry or projects, such as Rail, Electric Vehicles, or Unmanned Systems
  • Experience in motor control and variable frequency drives
  • Able to troubleshoot and fix complex control systems and instrumentation
  • Proficient soldering skills
  • An understanding of ISO Quality systems, and adherence to ISO 9001:2015
  • Able to work within NEC guidelines
