Overview
Laciny Bros., Inc., is seeking a full‑time Senior Project Engineer to join our team. Since 1916, we have specialized in providing quality custom fabrication across a wide variety of industries and applications. As a multi‑disciplined “jack of all trades,” we offer a fast‑paced, rewarding work environment that fosters creativity, teamwork and high‑end craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high‑level relationships with current and new clients
- Execute site visits to assess project scope, develop projects internally and present solutions to customers
- Manage projects throughout the fabrication process, occasionally including onsite installation
- Maintain key accounts
- Develop new business through superior job execution
Requirements
- Full, working knowledge of a shop floor and a clear understanding of the various fabrication processes
- Minimum of five years of Project Management or sales experience
- Expert problem‑solving capabilities
- Interpersonal skills to excel in a team environment
- Ability to conceptualize/develop solutions from scratch and oversee execution in a manufacturing environment
- Firm understanding of non‑corporate, family business culture
Qualifications
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience within the industry
- Strong background and/or personal experience in metal fabrication techniques
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain relationships
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the pharmaceutical, biotech or food/beverage industries
- Elevated working knowledge of sanitary design and fabrication
- Experience quoting jobs and maintaining budgets
- Mechanical engineering degree preferred
