Overview
The Directional Drill Locator uses advanced locating equipment to determine the location and depth of drill heads, monitor their progress, and provide real-time data to drilling crews and project managers to meet project specifications and safety standards.
Responsibilities- Utilize advanced locating equipment to determine the precise location of drill heads and monitor their progress.
- Collaborate with drilling teams to ensure alignment with project plans and specifications.
- Provide real-time feedback and adjustments to drilling operations based on location data.
- Maintain accurate records of drilling activities, including depth, location, and any encountered obstacles.
- Conduct regular maintenance and calibration of locating equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency in using locating equipment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Problem-solving skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in directional drilling or a related field.
- Familiarity with locating equipment and technology.
- Certification in directional drilling or related technical training. (Preferred)
- Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental standards in drilling operations. (Preferred)
