Job DescriptionBus Driver
Special School District (SSD) bus drivers support students throughout St. Louis County by ensuring they are safely transported to school daily. Your commitment to creating a welcoming climate on your bus where students feel valued and cared for will positively impact their educational experience. By also managing student behavior with the support of your monitor and following all safety regulations, you will help us realize our mission of supporting and empowering students to excel to their greatest potential.
Bus drivers work Monday through Friday and are guaranteed a minimum of 2.5 hours each morning and 2.5 hours each afternoon, resulting in a minimum of 5 total hours each day. We are currently seeking assistants to join the team at the:
Central Garage, 5500 North Hanley Road, St. Louis, MO, 63134
South Garage, 12731 West Watson, Sunset Hills, MO, 63126

Salary- $19.99/hr to $26.64/hr based on experience
- Education transportation experience preferred
- Experience working with children preferred
- Must be 21 or older at time of hire
- Currently hold or qualify for a Class B Commercial Driver’s License, a School Bus
- Driver’s endorsement and passenger endorsement (may obtain through District provided training) required
- Must hold a current drivers license with an excellent driving record
- 10-month school year (August to June), exact dates dependent on assigned location(s)
