Lead Toddler Teacher

Overview

This is a contract position providing services to Nestlé in the USA through a third-party staffing services organization. If you are selected for this role, you will be an employee of a third-party staffing partner and not Nestlé in the USA.

Our Nestlé Purina Child Development Center location is looking for multiple Lead Toddler teachers. Join an experienced and committed team made up of early childhood professionals in a NAECY-accredited early childhood center located on Purina’s campus in downtown St. Louis. When joining our team, you will bring your expertise and design lesson plans based on Project Construct in a play-based curriculum, while interacting with children and families. You will implement family-style dining and help promote a safe environment where children can be happy and active learners. We are seeking a nurturing, experienced teacher who brings energy and creativity to work every day to join the Nestlé Purina Child Development Center team.

• Work with children in a one-on-one and group setting through meaningful, hands-on learning activities
• Prepare and design weekly lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate and differentiated for all skill levels and student interests
• Design and execute math, literacy, and science learning activities that allow students the opportunity to communicate orally and in writing
• Use daily mealtimes with the class as a method to incorporate learning and social skills
• Build schedules and routines for the students
• Strategically plan the curriculum to target areas related to child development such as social, motor, and language skills
• Proactively communicate expectations, criteria for assessment, student progress, and students’ strengths and opportunities to parents and students
• Promote and model a positive and respectful learning environment that focuses on positive redirection
• Establish trust and bond with the children and families in which you will serve
• Maintain a safe and healthy classroom by following all center health and safety guidelines and rules
• Demonstrate high standards of professionalism and ethics

• High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 1 of the following:
• Associate s degree in early childhood education or related field
• CDA Certification
• 2+ years of experience working in early childhood
