Overview
St. Louis University High School is seeking a qualified and engaged substitute Math teacher to cover a temporary leave beginning immediately through the spring semester, with the possibility of extending through the end of the school year. The assignment includes two sections of Accelerated Algebra 1 and two sections of AP Calculus AB within our rigorous, college-preparatory curriculum. We are open to one teacher covering all sections or splitting the assignment between two qualified candidates, depending on availability.
Classes meet at varying times due to our rotating schedule. The school day runs from 8:25 a.m. to 3:10 p.m. Comprehensive lesson plans and instructional materials will be provided for all courses.
- Teach two sections of Accelerated Algebra 1 and two sections of AP Calculus AB as assigned.
- Follow the rotating schedule; adapt to varying class times.
- Deliver and implement comprehensive lesson plans and instructional materials provided by the school.
- Bachelor's degree required;
Master's degree preferred - Prior experience teaching high school students strongly preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to supporting students in a challenging academic environment
