Job Summary

STREAM Teacher (2026–2027 School Year)

St. Gerard Majella School is seeking a joyful, faith‑filled Catholic who feels called to serve in our school community as a full‑time STREAM Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. The ideal candidate is passionate about fostering innovation, critical thinking, and creativity through hands‑on, inquiry‑based learning rooted in Catholic values.

Position Overview

The STREAM Teacher will lead instruction that integrates science, technology, religion, engineering, art, and mathematics in meaningful and engaging ways. This role is designed for an educator who loves inspiring curiosity, guiding students through problem‑solving challenges, and encouraging collaboration across grade levels. The teacher will work closely with faculty and administration to support a dynamic STREAM program that enriches the school’s mission and academic excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver engaging STREAM lessons that promote inquiry, creativity, and hands‑on exploration.
  • Integrate Catholic teachings and values into classroom activities and project‑based learning.
  • Foster a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, teamwork, and perseverance.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to support cross‑curricular STREAM initiatives.
  • Guide students through engineering design processes, technology applications, and scientific investigations.
  • Utilize age‑appropriate tools, materials, and technologies to enhance learning experiences.
  • Assess student understanding and adjust instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
  • Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and school community events.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging learning environment.
Qualifications
  • Practicing Catholic committed to the mission and teachings of the Church.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, STEM fields, or a related area (required).
  • Experience teaching STREAM, STEM, or project‑based learning (preferred).
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom‑management skills.
  • Creativity, enthusiasm, and a passion for hands‑on learning.
  • Ability to inspire students and support a culture of innovation.
