This role includes leadership responsibilities related to student behavior, staff support, and school climate.
Job Responsibilities Dean of Students- Promote a positive school culture by consistently implementing behavior policies and restorative practices.
- Manage student discipline, including investigations, consequences, and follow-up communications with students and families.
- Track behavior incidents and data to identify trends and provide interventions and supports.
- Work proactively with students, staff, and families to prevent behavior issues and promote student well-being.
- Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to teachers and support staff.
- Assist in the annual teacher evaluation process and support professional development planning.
- Serve as a resource and mentor for staff, supporting instructional best practices and classroom management.
- Foster a collaborative, respectful, and growth-oriented staff culture.
- Serve as a consistent point of contact for parent concerns, especially regarding behavior and special education.
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with families to foster trust and build strong partnerships.
- Participate in school events, parent meetings, and community engagement efforts.
- Experience in education, student affairs, or a related field is essential.
