Preferred Qualifications Role PurposeThe Institutional Effectiveness (IE) Director leads institutional research, effectiveness, accountability and evaluation for the College. Responsible for coordinating institutional activities to provide support for comprehensive program of institutional effectiveness consistent with the accreditation requirements for the college. Through collaboration, active instruction, and communication with college constituents, the IE Director is responsible for assessment initiatives, analysis and reporting of institutional assessment data, generation of internal and external reports, and monitoring college accountability and assessment measures including state‑determined performance metrics.
Demonstrated skills in development, implementation and evaluation of postsecondary curriculum, accelerated instructional delivery mechanisms, performance‑based instruction, technology‑based instructional delivery and other creative approaches to secondary education. Experience working with multiple and diverse constituents in support of the college’s mission and assists in the preparation of reports for federal, state, and accrediting agencies.
- Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
- Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
- Oversees the College's external/internal reporting, and analysis in support of institutional assessment, planning, and communication of institutional effectiveness results and decision‑making.
- Leads the College institutional effectiveness department to foster continuous improvement of the College by personally teaching and working collaboratively with college administration and faculty to identify, define, collect and prioritize large amounts of institutional data to support decision for the college.
- Manages the college‑wide integration of meaningful assessment processes and best practices in support of student learning and institutional effectiveness.
- Supports institutional research and analysis activities, including the development of surveys and other methods of data collection, in conjunction with relevant departments to ensure consistency in the analysis and use of survey data across college departments.
