The Teacher on the Apostle Catholic Church is responsible for providing high-quality instruction and faith formation within parish educational programs. Rooted in the mission of the Catholic Church, the Teacher fosters academic growth, spiritual development, and a love of learning in a supportive, faith-filled environment. The Teacher works collaboratively with parish staff, families, and students to support the holistic development of each learner.

• Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with parish or diocesan guidelines.
• Integrate Catholic teachings, values, and traditions into daily instruction.
• Create a positive, respectful, and faith-centered classroom environment.
• Assess student learning and maintain appropriate records and documentation.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and needs.
• Collaborate with parish staff, catechists, and administrators to support student success.
• Participate in parish meetings, training sessions, and professional development.
• Support parish events and activities as needed.
• Uphold classroom management practices that reflect Gospel values.

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
• Teaching experience preferred.
• Knowledge of instructional best practices and classroom management.
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to the mission and teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.
• Practicing Catholic preferred, in accordance with parish policy.

• Classroom and parish-based instructional settings.
• May involve working with various age groups.
• Completion of diocesan Safe Environment training and background checks required.
