Job Title: Part‑Time Classroom Aide
Location: Holy Cross Academy

Position Summary
The Part‑Time Classroom Aide supports the educational mission of Holy Cross Academy by assisting teachers in creating a positive, organized, and engaging learning environment. This role provides direct support to classroom instruction, helps maintain a safe and orderly atmosphere, and contributes to the overall formation and well‑being of students. The Classroom Aide works closely with the lead teacher and school staff to ensure that students receive the attention and assistance they need throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher with daily instructional activities, small‑group work, and individualized student support.
• Help maintain a structured, respectful, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Supervise students during transitions, recess, lunch, and other non‑instructional times as assigned.
• Prepare classroom materials, organize supplies, and support teachers with routine administrative tasks.
• Provide guidance and encouragement to students, modeling positive behavior and reinforcing school expectations.
• Support students with varying learning needs under the direction of the teacher.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with teachers, staff, and students.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in a school or educational setting is preferred.
• A genuine desire to support teachers and serve students in their academic and personal growth.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team as well as independently when needed.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow spoken and written instructions.
• Patience, reliability, and a positive, student‑centered attitude.
