Special Education Certified Tutor/Teacher
Salary: $43 per hour;
Hours: up to 29 hours/week (14-29 hrs as needed);
Schedule: Daytime school hours, minimum two days per week.
Location: St. Louis City, St. Louis County, Jefferson County, and St. Charles County (public, private, or parochial schools);
School Year: 2025‑2026.
Special Education Supervisor
Qualifications- BA or MA from an accredited institution in a related field.
- Mo. certification in special education.
- Minimum 3 years teaching experience in special education and/or general education.
- Experience providing educational services to children and/or adolescents with learning disabilities.
- Proficient with computer and web‑based programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, Spedtrack).
- Provide a professional assessment of each child's strengths and weaknesses related to school subjects and educational diagnosis.
- For tutoring clients, assess child and family expectations, assist in setting realistic treatment goals, and help achieve them.
- Provide appropriate treatment based on academic assessment and track progress toward student goals.
- Maintain an online, web‑based account for progress after each tutoring session.
- Coordinate with other professionals at Miriam Learning Center to ensure coordinated treatment.
- Provide direct and consult services to students in accordance with their IEPs.
- Update students’ IEPs on present level, measurable goals, and progress when applicable.
- Attend IEP meetings, staff meetings, and training sessions as requested by the partner school.
- Act as an employee of the assigned school(s).
- Communicate with parents, staff, and other involved parties.
- As a learning consultant, explain IDEA eligibility and application process to families.
- Submit billing promptly.
- Follow up with parents via email after each private tutoring session.
- Perform any other duties as specified by the supervisor.
